Name: Cirno.
Fandom: Touhou Project.
Timeline: Post Fairy Wars (Touhou 12.8)
Age: Unknown, but implied to be at least sixty years old.
Appearance: Cirno looks like a small child no older than ten years of age, and around roughly four and a half feet in height. Her eyes and short, wavy hair are a matching blue. She wears a white blouse with a red ribbon, and a blue jumper dress with upward-facing white triangles lining the hem. Six large wings of ice hover behind her.

Abilities: Cirno possesses the ability to manipulate cold, and she naturally chills the air around herself. She can use this ability to instantly freeze or thaw anything she can touch, although larger objects are more difficult. A frog would be pretty easy, for example, while man would require more time and effort. She can also freeze up things like cubes, icicles, shields and swords for whenever she gets into a brawl.
Cirno is capable of firing Danmaku, which basically amounts to massive amounts of magical projectiles getting flung around everywhere. While usually under Spellcard restrictions, which renders getting hit merely painful, they can be lethal whenever a fight occurs outside Spellcard rules. She's fairly skilled at it, and she's a good shot with icicles thanks to her constant practice.
All fairies are inherently capable of flight, and Cirno is no exception.
As fairies are beings of pure magic, Cirno's more fragile than an ordinary person. On the plus side, she resurrects instantly upon death, little worse for wear save her motivation. She also doesn't need to eat or drink to survive, and her lifespan is theoretically infinite.
One downside of her association with ice is that Cirno has a weakness to heat, and fire in particular. It's a quick and easy way to drive her off.
Personality: Cirno is very confident in her own abilities, sometimes to a dangerous degree. While this can get her into some poor situations due to overconfidence, she's usually smart enough to swallow her pride and flee if things get too hot to handle. However, if riled up enough, she'll press onwards into the most dangerous situations with nary a care to her own safety.
She's friendly enough to people who are nice to her and is generally fairly docile unless provoked, in which case the person doing the provoking is likely to catch an icicle to the face if they antagonize her too much. However, no matter her relationship with someone, there's always the danger that she might decide to attack them at random because she's bored or angry. There's never any malice behind it, it's just that she doesn't really think of the very real damage she could cause someone.
She's fairly simple-minded, and usually only cares about playing around. If faced with anything remotely complex she's likely to call it stupid and give up. Given significant motivation for a task, however, she can be stubbornly pig-headed until the problem is resolved.
Her memory tends to be spotty at the best of times, so much so that she sometimes immediately forgets someone she had just met. As long as one leaves a strong impression on her, however, it's unlikely she'll forget them any time soon.
History: Fairies come into existence out of a buildup of magical energy. Cirno was no different. As such, she flitted around Gensokyo, the magical realm where the series takes place, for decades, not doing much of importance but having fun all the while.
Nothing much really changed in this respect when her first appearance in Touhou 6 happened, wherein she attacked the chosen protagonist only to get shot down. The same happened in her next appearance, except she got shot down even faster.
As of Touhou 8, Cirno actually does something besides get shot up, being the only one among the entire cast to immediately recognize the incident as the same as the one that had happened sixty years previously. She went all the way as to meet the Judge of the Dead Shikieiki, and ended up receiving a lecture on the nature of power and why she had almost too much for a fairy. Being Cirno, of course, she simply shrugged it off and went on her way.
In the events of Touhou 12.3 she espies what she believes to be the Daidarabotchi, a gigantic youkai. She set out to tame it so she would never have to be scared of anything again, but after a close call during her chase of the beast she gave up. However, thanks to some directions given to her, she discovered that the Daidarabotchi was actually a Goliath Doll created by Alice Margatroid. Cirno battled the two together and emerged victorious, although a day later the story had gotten all jumbled up in her head and she was never quite able to retell it properly.
The events of Touhou 12.8 kick off with Cirno's house being destroyed. She only remembered to pursue those responsible a year after the fact, however. Upon doing so, she came across the Three Fairies of Light, and promptly went to beat the tar out of them as vengeance. After her victory, she became friends with the trio, and occasionally aided them with whatever scheming they got up to. After that, she ended up tangling with Marisa the witch, and actually pulled out a draw. Given the sizable power difference between the two, that was no mean feat.
Roleplay Sample - Log: To see Cirno at the lakeside was a normal sight. Of course, given that she was currently crouched down and hunched over, one could be forgiven for thinking something was up. Especially with the ice forming in her hands.
"Aha!" She called in triumph, unfolding and holding up her prize for any and all to see.

With her victory complete Cirno promptly began thawing the cube, looking like the very picture of concentration. At least until the frozen amphibian shattered into a thousand tiny pieces, giving rise to one shocked fairy.
"Gah! No fair!" Cirno cursed, shaking a tiny fist at the thing's remains. Just as she began to sulk, a dart of movement in the corner of her eye caught her attention. Sure enough, it was another frog. The two stared at each other, unblinking, until the creature suddenly hopped away. All former troubles forgotten, Cirno set off after it with a mighty warcry.
"GET OVER HERE!"
Roleplay Sample - Journal: Yes! Victory is mine, ya stupid thing!
[It looks like Cirno's been having some difficulty with her recorder, given her frustrated expression. However, now that it's actually going, she brightens up immediately.]
So, yeah, I've never seen any place like this before! All the white kinda reminds me of snow, but it's not, and I tried freezing things like this collar on my neck, and all I got for it was a zap! That kinda sucks, but on the other hand I looked out the windows and this space thing's pretty cool, so I guess it's okay for now.
That's everything I wanted to talk about, I think? Huh. That was quick. Anyway, bye!
[She waves for a moment, then goes to shut the camera off. Just as her finger's over the button, she pauses, and her face scrunches up in concentration. Then enlightenment strikes.]
Oh, right, right! My name's Cirno, and don't you forget it!
[Then she cuts the video.]
This game includes horrible mental and physical torture of your character. After reading the rules/faq for clarification, how do you expect your character to handle this and continue to function? Fairies never really dwell on the past, for the most part, and Cirno's no different. Whatever she goes through in the Facility, she's likely to just laugh it off after the fact.
Questions? Comments? Crazed and creative statements? Those go here. Just how effective's the instant resurrection bit she's got while collared? Does she stay dead like a normal person and need to be revived, or does she just regenerate immediately? Or could there be an effective limit on how many regenerations she can pull off in a short time before she keels over for real?
